Review: A little bit of South Beach located in downtown Kansas City. Amazing fresh flavors presented artistically. Happy hour 5-7pm Tue.-Thu. Inspired by Miami venues, Azul, offers Brazilian cuisine not Mexican. Also the bartenders really know how to mix an icy, potent mojito , the national cocktail of Brazil. And the food is remarkably good and includes pan-seared tuna tacos, grilled quesadillas stuffed with sweet potato, mildly seasoned chorizo, braised short ribs and a chile relleno stuffed with seafood and gouda. The dining room does take reservations and is smoke-free until 10 p.m., when the nightclub crowd arrives for the late night DJ's on Fridays and Saturdays.

Review: The Rivermarket Brewery started during the microbrew craze and has managed to hang on even though located in the up and down rivermarket area. The serve a great blend of microbrews and traditional beers. Patrons from the surrounding lofts flock to the brewery to catch games on Saturdays and Sundays. The food is great here. This aspect brings a great dinner and lunch crowd that usually end up hanging out for hours. The atmosphere here is very relaxed, but people still seem to have a great time.
