+I am CrossFit, WINNING at Life!!
WINNING!!! Yep, that is what CrossFit is doing for people right in the heart of Kansas City and around the world. Personally, I am not a fan of Charlie Sheen, but I am a fan of WINNING!! Are you winning? Hopefully, if you are reading this article you are WINNING in multiple areas of your life! Maybe you are on the verge of WINNING, and then I would speak to your level of intensity towards winning and achieving your goals. Today’s rant is on the topic of intensity, which leads us to WINNING!! 
People ask me on a daily basis, “What is CrossFit?” There isn’t a single serving answer to this question. However, a quick description of CrossFit is – it is constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity!  Intense, a lot of people tell me they are intense and I am like, “cool, what does that mean, what does that look like and can you prove it?” These same people say, “Well, I workout for two hours a day at the gym.” Cool, how is that working for you? Are you accomplishing your goals with those two hours a day in the gym? Most people think they are intense, yet are not achieving their goals or even getting close to them.  They have been doing the same old routine and or have been trying to figure it out on their own.  So how is your ‘intensity’ working for you?
How intense are you? What I am really referencing is how do you turn on the internal switch, focus and put all of your energy to use to get after your goals. Each person has an individual level of intensity they apply here and there depending on their desire to achieve and accomplish.  I see and hear a lot of people who tell me they have a hard time motivating themselves to workout and achieve their health and wellness goals. And that frustrates the sh!t out of me! Because there are places you can go with like-minded people who will inspire you, motivate you and hold you accountable to achieve your goals. Welcome to CrossFit Matters, where we are WINNING!! 
Individually, we can only get so far. At CrossFit Matters, we come together with our individual intensity levels, whatever they maybe and we rise collectively beyond our individual efforts with those around us. Just the other day, we had a packed house for our 5:30pm class. The intensity level of the entire class could have been ignited with a match. Everyone was pushing beyond their individual level of intensity because of the collective energy of the entire group.   CrossFit is making a sport out of fitness. No matter what your background maybe, everyone can benefit from the dynamics of CrossFit, day in and day out.
Every day, I experience the thrill of individual accomplishment from each of our athlete clients. CrossFit is intense and just like your success in life; it depends on what you bring to the game. People who come to CrossFit Matters are WINNING on a daily basis, regardless of life’s challenges. Jordan N. commented about CrossFit Matters, “We have a lot in common, we want to make ourselves better and make those around us better too.” At CrossFit Matters we ramp up the intensity with like-minded progressive people and each of us are WINNING!
